AFF190 Reynolds Number Apparatus Didactic Equipment Vocational Training Equipment Fluid Lab Equipment
1. Product Introduction
1.1 Product Description
Common flow patterns of fluids can be divided into three types: laminar flow, critical flow and turbulent flow. The three flow patterns can be judged by the Reynolds number, which is a dimensionless number that can be used to characterize the flow of a fluid. The Reynolds number can be used to distinguish whether the flow of a fluid is laminar or turbulent, and it can also be used to determine the resistance to the flow of an object in the fluid.
In the, streamlines during laminar or turbulent flow are displayed in color with the help of an injected contrast agent (ink). The experimental results can be used to determine the critical Reynolds number.
The experimental device consists of a transparent pipe section, through which water flows, with a flow-optimized inlet. A valve can be used to regulate the flow in the pipe section. Ink is injected into the flowing water, and a layer of glass beads in the water tank ensures a uniform and low-turbulence flow.
The experimental device can be easily and safely placed on the working surface of the Base module. Water is supplied and the flow rate is measured by the. Alternatively, the experimental device can be operated by a laboratory power supply.
